HOW TO GET THERE
From Highway 53, Exit west on West Euclid Avenue and take
the first right to Hicks Road. Travel north
approximately 3 blocks and turn left (west) on East
Illinois Avenue. Travel approximately 3 blocks.
AUYA Center is on the north side of East Illinois Avenue,
half way between S. Hicks and S. Plum Road.
SANTA will be
visiting so please bring your children and a
specially wrapped gift for each child coming with you.
(You bring a gift for the child, and Santa gives it to

PLEASE RSVP SO WE CAN PLAN FOR THE PARTY: You can
pay at the door ($15.00 for each person over the age of
14) (14 and under - FREE) but please help us plan

Volunteers at the Skjold Lodge booth at Scandinavian Day
and volunteers at the lodge Heritage Fest receive a $5.00
discount.
When you RSVP, if you miss us, just leave a message
on the answering machine. An example message might
be: "2 adults and 3 children from the Jones family are
coming to the Christmas party".
FOOD: We are having a catered buffet
featuring chicken nuggets with dipping sauce, pork
roast with onion gravy, roasted new potatoes, green
beans with almonds, leafy green salad with cranberries
and candied walnuts. Also available: cran-raspberry
punch, herring and crackers
DESSERTS: If you would like to bring a tray
of cookies or your favorite Christmastime dessert to
expand our dessert table - please do so. At this
time of year people love the variety of Christmas
desserts.

ENTERTAINMENT:
*NORDIC DANCERS: The Nordic Folk Dancers of
Chicago will perform at about 3:45PM. One of the
highlights of last year’s party was the adults and
children joining the dancers as we sang Christmas songs.
*CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES: There will be a
craft table and a "story time" where a book will be read
to the children.
